Kavala rises straight out of its harbour. Discovering the city means walking past the aqueduct, through the lanes of Panagia, up to the castle and back toward the fishing boats working below.

The coastline opens quickly east and west of the city, while Ancient Philippi sits inland. Ferries leave the port for Thasos, making the hotel a practical base for a wider North Aegean itinerary.
